Hi, my name is James, and I am the locality lead for South M-Thrive.

As a locality lead, my role is to make sure that each member of my team has designed the best pathway possible for each of the children and young people that we work with and that they are achieving the best outcomes possible for all!

I maintain my well-being by playing sport, in particular football which I also like to unwind and watch whenever I can! One recommendation would be to use ‘distraction’ techniques to take your mind off anything that is having a negative effect on you to help re-direct your attention. I play the guitar and find it really calming and relaxing to take my mind off anything that has been tough that day by learning a new song or concentrating to remember ones that I already know!

I take care of my own wellbeing by reaching out to my friends and family when I need to talk things through and spending time riding my bike (even though the Manchester rain can sometimes make me a bit grumpy)
